Akshaya Tritiya Significance
Akshaya Tritiya is a Hindu and Jain festival that falls on the third lunar day of the bright half (Shukla Paksha) of the Vaisakha month in the Hindu calendar. The word “Akshaya” means “never diminishing” and “Tritiya” means “Third,” so the name literally translates to “the third lunar day that never diminishes.” It is considered one of the most auspicious days in Hinduism and Jainism.
